The Lean Skills program aims to promote the application of Lean principles and Lean tools to assist the survival and growth of Australian industry.

Lean Skills recognises that immediate, significant gains can be made through blitzing and ‘quick fixes’ and for some organisations this is the best way to start. However for real return on investment and sustainable improvements it is critical to integrate Lean theory with the skills to plan, implement and continuously improve the systems throughout the whole enterprise.

Lean Skills equips you to select the right Lean tools for your business and to plan for successful implementation of your Lean strategy to achieve significant cost savings, reductions in waste and improved efficiency.

LeanSkills has been developed by a team with many years experience in business management and vocational education and training across a range of sectors.

The LeanSkills Essentials for Managers seminar provides managers and owners with the essential knowledge and skills needed to plan the right Lean Strategy for the business and to manage its implementation. The focus is on understanding the Lean principles, identifying goals and selecting the right Lean tools to achieve the goals.

The LeanSkills Intensives provide in depth sessions on a selected Lean tools. These are designed to ensure that the Lean team has a solid and shared understanding of how to apply the tools. The intensives cover the ‘core’ Lean tools - ones which can be applied to all aspects of the business to achieve significant results.
